231 S. LaSalle: The Slinky Proving Grounds

If ever there was a place to test out a Slinky, the north face of the 231 S. LaSalle building would be it. This is a view of the building from Quincy street and the more I look at it, I can only imagine what a long trip it would be if you had to come down from the top floor.

This is what I love about wandering around in the Loop. There is a lot to see down there. You just have to look around. And up! This is but one of the cool views that most folks just walk past without even noticing. I feel like a turkey sometimes when I’m wandering around but it pays off when you can find stuff like this.
